1. Scope of Services
The Reco Lab provides professional restoration and repair services for luxury goods including handbags, shoes, accessories, and related items.
We reserve the right to decline any item at our discretion.
2. Quotations
- Photo-based quotes are estimates only.
- Final pricing is confirmed after physical assessment.
- Additional works are confirmed to proceed if the item has been dropped off.
- A minimum service fee applies per order, not per item.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment is required prior to return shipping and pick up.
- Invoices are issued via Xero.
- Late payments may delay the return of items.
- Transaction fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.
We reserve the right to retain possession of items until payment is received in full.
4. Nature of Restoration
Restoration is a technical process — not a factory reset.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge:
- Results vary depending on material condition.
- We guarantee professional workmanship, not perfection.
- Some stains, colour transfer, structural weaknesses or ageing may be irreversible.
- Colour matching may vary slightly from original tones.
- Materials may react unpredictably during cleaning or recolouring.
5. Pre-Existing Conditions
Clients are responsible for disclosing:
- Previous repairs
- Prior dye work
- Structural damage
- Material sensitivity
We are not liable for complications arising from undisclosed prior treatments.
6. Shipping & Risk
Clients may:
- Drop off by appointment
- Self-post items
- Use arranged shipping (where offered)
All items are handled with care.
Transit insurance is limited to declared coverage amounts.
We are not liable for:
- Delays caused by carriers
- Incorrect addresses supplied by client
- Uninsured losses where insurance was declined
7. Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed.
- We are not liable for consequential loss, depreciation, resale value changes, or sentimental value.
- Natural ageing, wear, or inherent material defects are not considered damage caused by service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
8. Storage
Items not collected within 60 days of completion may incur storage fees.
Items uncollected after 90 days may be considered abandoned in accordance with NSW law.
9. Intellectual Property
All website content, imagery, and branding remain property of The Reco Lab.
We may photograph items for documentation or marketing unless otherwise requested in writing prior to serving your items.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
